Esther N. Wamalwa is a distinguished Governance, Finance, and Public Policy Expert with over 20 years of experience delivering impactful results across the public sector, private enterprise, development agencies, and civil society. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Finlead Global, a consultancy firm dedicated to transforming institutions through financial innovation and leadership development.

A Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) and Certified Secretary (CS) with a Master’s degree in Finance and Economics, Esther brings deep knowledge and practical expertise in designing and executing complex financial, governance, and policy solutions. Her work is grounded in values of integrity, excellence, and inclusion—with a strong belief in empowering women and advancing equitable financial systems.

Her global perspective is shaped by participation in premier international forums including the International Conference on Women on Boards: Getting on and Adding Value for Women CEOs held at Harvard University, and the Global Women on Boards Summit in Milan, where she engaged with leading women executives and governance experts from around the world.

Previously, Esther served as the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Finance and Economic Planning in Bungoma County (2017–2022), where she championed reforms in fiscal discipline, budget transparency, and local revenue mobilization. She also held board-level leadership as a Director and Audit Committee Chair at Nzoia Water Services Company, providing oversight in corporate governance and risk management.
